Heather first performed in the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival aged 14,
where she and other members of
the youth drama group, Bash
Theatre Company, entertained the
audience with a self-written and
devised show called The McUpps
and McDoons of a Scottish Secret. A dramatic tale of family rivalry and disputes, corruption, patriotism and a secret, worth millions, handed down from generation to generation... the recipe for the perfect haggis!
Following this, Heather and Wester Hailes based Bash TC went on to write and perform a further 2 shows, one of which, Swatch the Switch was taken to Munich and performed in a multi-cultural festival in 1992.
After many years of patiently waiting, Heather was finally asked to join Moving Parts in 1997. Since then she has performed in several fringe productions, including Machinal, A View from the Boundary, The Overcoat, An Inspector Calls and the 2007 production – Lorca's Shadow. Heather has also been involved in some Theatre In Education projects with Moving Parts including, Offski, Bully Dozer and an alcohol awareness programme in Islay.
